Deputies searching for missing Park Twp. mom, children

Michelle Olszewski and her three children, who were reported missing out of Park Township, have all been found safe in St. Louis. They are now in protective custody.

OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. — Police have found an Ottawa County mother and her children, who were reported missing Saturday morning, safe in St. Louis.

Michelle Lynn Olszewski, 50, and her three children were reported missing Saturday. That afternoon, police located Olszewski and her 8-year-old son in St. Louis.

Her other two children, ages 10 and 14, were found several hours later.

Olszewski and the children are now in protective custody.

Deputies say Olszewski pulled her children out of school on Wednesday and left the state. Her rental car and belongings were found at a hotel in Indiana. Olszewski or the children had not been seen near the hotel since Thursday, May 1.

Deputies say the family was traveling with their dog, Lambchop, who is a Shiba Inu with golden brown and white fur.

Deputies say they believed Olszewski could be experiencing a mental health crisis.

Anyone with information on the family’s whereabouts is asked to contact Silent Observer at 1-877-88-SILENT (745368) or Ottawa County Dispatch at 1-800-249-0911.
