Bob Stone of Sugar Land entered his 1984 Chevy van, which he purchased six years ago for about $15,000.
He said he has spent another $15,000 or so upgrading it with AC, power steering and other mechanical refinements.
Bob said he owned a Dodge van similar to this in the 1970s, and always wanted another van.
So when he found this one for sale online, he bought it. He said the Chevy has won him numerous awards at car shows over the years.
“I don’t just park it and forget it, I drive it around town every once in a while and people are always honking, waving, giving me the thumbs up and smiling,” he said.
Scott Kalish of Fulshear entered his 1953 MG TD, which he bought six months ago for his wife, Connie, who fell in love with it the first time she saw it.
