Superheroes assemble: Kids can win prizes for costume design in Fall River library contest

FALL RIVER — The signal has been lit, and the Fall River Public Library is hoping that all of the city’s little superheroes will answer the call.

The library has launched its Superhero Costume Contest, where kids can design their own dazzling costume using just crayons, markers or colored pencils.

According to the Fall River Public Library, this contest is for children ages 3 to 12, and official entry forms can be picked up in the children’s section of the library at 104 N. Main St.

Entry forms are now available, and the contest is underway, now through May 12.

“A simple outline is provided on the entry form for children to dress-up with their own unique designs,” the press release said. “Costume designs can be inspired from anything — it can come from a child’s interests or hobbies, to the qualities that make themselves a ‘super’ kid!”

And the winners will get to see their entries displayed throughout the day at the Fall River Public Library’s annual Comic-Con on May 24, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
