TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – TMC Pediatric Therapies has unveiled a new indoor playground designed to enhance children’s well-being through play.
The Panda Cares Center of Hope is the latest addition aimed at making therapy more enjoyable for kids. Officials from TMC say the playground will help children adapt to environments like schools and playgrounds, making therapy less daunting.
“When you have a child who needs physical, occupational, or speech therapy, sometimes the work that you have to do to bring that child’s wholeness is not exactly fun for the child,” said the President and CEO of TMC Health. “A play space like this allows children to learn how to adapt to playgrounds, to schools, and be able to start to get back to the life they were used to living.”
Funds for this project were raised by Panda Express and its employees through the Panda Cares program. During the event, Panda Express also presented TMC for Children with a check for more than $700,000.
