Bishop Guilfoyle Academy needed all five sets to claim a 3-2 victory over Forest Hills at home in boys high school volleyball Wednesday.

The two teams traded sets with BG taking the first and third (25-23 and 25-19), while FH got the second and fourth (25-18 and 25-18) before the Marauders pulled out the decisive 16-14 score.

Brenden Young recorded 13 service points, 31 assists and 13 digs for Bishop Guilfoyle, while Karter Shall totaled 17 digs, 12 points and 10 kills.

Jacob Mellott delivered 15 digs, while Caleb Pisczek added 10 kills for BG.

MARTINSBURG — Central suffered a straight sets 3-0 loss to West Shamokin by scores of 25-23, 26-24 and 25-16.

Bryson Brooks recorded 11 kills and eight service points for the Dragons, while Logan Hummel dished out 20 assists and Blake Reynolds contributed 12 digs.
