BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – A Berkeley County woman has been accused of fraudulently receiving food stamps by not reporting her or her husband’s income.
Tabatha Brook Wyndham, 33, is charged with fraudulent acquisition or use of more than $10,000 in food stamps.

Agents of the South Carolina Department of Social Services say that, between August 2018 and July 2022, Wyndham submitted eight certification forms that misrepresented her financial situation by failing to report her own employment and that of her husband.
Affidavits say this resulted in Wyndham receiving $34,419 in food stamps that she was not entitled to.
Wyndham was booked into the Hill-Finklea Detention Center.
Her case will be prosecuted by the Ninth Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
