MASSILLON – Safe Kids Day will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Boys and Girls Club of Massillon, 730 Duncan St. SW.
Safe Kids Stark County has organized the event to help provide safety education to families.
Children and their families can visit with community organizations and receive giveaways. Free food will be available.
Attendees can learn about bike safety, internet safety, infant safe sleep, handwashing and heatstroke awareness. Bikehelmets will be given away while supplies last. Families can get their child’s car seat checked to make sure it’s installedproperly. Kids can take part in art activities, including bracelet making, shoe decorations and cookie art.
The Stark County Sheriff’s Office will provide fingerprinting and conduct a drone demonstration. TheMassillon Fire Department will have its firetrucks and fire safety trailer for kids to get an up-close view. Free books will be available from the Massillon Library’s Bookmobile. The Stark County HealthMobile will provide harm-reductioninformation.
