JEFFERSON — An event designed to bring more people to the village backfired Saturday when the decibel levels at a car show at the Ashtabula County Fairgrounds became intolerable.
Jefferson Police Chief Chris Mackensen said the village agreed to a car show for April 26 and Aug. 30 and 31 at the fairgrounds with a few stipulations after the Ashtabula County Fair Board asked approval for the rental.
