MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Memphis Police are searching for two suspects involved in robbing an elderly man on Wednesday.
At 11:05 p.m., officers responded to a robbery at the Chelsea Food Market on 2456 Chelsea Avenue.
The video showed the victim, an 82-year-old man, arriving and parking near the front entrance. A woman got into the victim’s vehicle.
A suspect then approached the driver’s side of the victim’s vehicle and spoke briefly to him.
Moments later, the suspect reached through the driver’s window and stole the victim’s wallet and ran away. The woman got out of the car and ran away as well.
Police say the suspect had a beard and wore a blue hat, a black pullover jacket with two thin white stripes, blue jogging pants, and sandals.
No arrest has been made. This is an ongoing investigation.
