AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – B.O.O.M. Adventures is hosting its first fishing camp for kids on May 10.
The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at John Ward Memorial Park, previously known as Medi Park, located at 1100 Wallace Boulevard.
Amarillo Parks and Recreation will bring donuts.
A biologist from the Texas Wildlife and Parks will be there with his electric fishing boat and Game Wardens will be there to talk to the kids about fish conservation and fishing laws.

Organizers say there will be free fishing poles for kids to take home.
