Kool April Nights car show wraps up in Redding

REDDING, Calif. – The Kool April Nights car show in Redding wrapped up on Sunday, showcasing thousands of classic cars. Event officials said about 2,000 cars were registered this year.

The winning cars were displayed at the Redding Civic Auditorium. The show has become an annual tradition for many competitors and spectators.

“I used to live up here years ago and have a lot of family that lives up here,” said Brad Parsons of Napa Valley.

He continued, “We come up here every year now. My dad’s birthday is at the end of April, and one of his favorite things to do was going to Kool April Nights and we’ve kept it a tradition.”

98 cars received awards in various categories. Competitors came from all over the western US.

The event, which began in 1990, has grown into the largest classic car show in Northern California.
