OPENING SOON: City Food Hall Orlando unveils vendors

City Food Hall announced less than a year ago its plans to open in Orlando. On Thursday, it revealed that it will open on Saturday and which vendors will be inside.

The timeline from construction to opening was quick, most likely due to it taking over the space held by the former food hall, Hall on the Yard.

The venue, located in Ivanhoe Village at 1412 Alden Road, closed after it was sued for breach of lease, owning nearly $250,000 in rent.

Meanwhile, Peter Rounce, the founder and CEO of City Food Hall previously told News 6 that he took note of what people want for the space.

“A lot of the feedback we got so far is they (want to) see engaging entertainment, they want a local vibe here,” Rounce said.

According to a news release, the space is roughly 12,000-square-feet and hosts four full-service bars, a private event space and the following vendors:

  • Eggdose — Some have hailed that this spot offers Orlando’s ‘best egg sandwich.’ It only offers breakfast sandwiches served stuffed in a brioche bun.
  • Ramen Takagi — This vendor has a location in Oviedo as well, and it has different menu items from gyoza, Japanese fried chicken, onigiri and several options of ramen.
  • Taglish — Some may remember this restaurant, as there were once three locations across Central Florida before they all closed in 2022. However, it is back! Some have raved that the Ube Horchata here is worth the trip alone. It also serves Philippines items such as lumpia, pork adobo rice bowls to pork BBQ skewers.
  • Slam Dunk — This is a basketball themed burger spot, that is also a vendor at another food hall in Orlando, A La Cart. According to a news release, its signature item is ‘The Lay-Up Burger’ which comes with chopped bacon and house cheddar sauce.
  • Cheese to Share — A European spot that offers different items from sandwiches, flatbreads to cheeseboards. It started in 2019, and it has another location inside the Marketplace at Avalon Parl.
  • Blessed Belly — This vendor made its mark on the culinary scene through its food truck parked at Kissimmee’s Food Truck Heaven. It offers different items featuring birria such as tacos, quesadillas, ramen and even pizza.
  • Kalalou — This spot has a location near The Mall at Millenia, and it serves Caribbean and Haitian cuisine. It offers different menu items such as curry chicken, griot and oxtail.

To add on, the second floor of the food hall will have a French restaurant, Chez Les Copains, led by Michelin-starred chef Mike Collantes. It will serve brunch on the weekends and dinner throughout the week, offering items such as steak tartare and bone marrow to caviar and shrimp cocktail.

Meanwhile, City Food Hall Orlando will also host different events throughout the week, such as karaoke, trivia and bingo, according to a news release.

City Food Hall also has three other Florida locations: in Destin, West Palm Beach and Gainesville, per its website.

“We’ve created a space where people can gather, explore global flavors and support passionate local talent — whether you’re grabbing brunch, cocktails, or enjoying live music,” Rounce said in a prepared statement.
