As royal fans celebrated Prince Louis‘ seventh birthday with a new photo showcasing his cheeky gap-toothed smile, Meghan Markle shared a charming detail about her own son, Prince Archie.
Speaking onstage at the Time100 Summit in New York City, the Duchess of Sussex opened up about life as a mother to Archie and Princess Lilibet.
In a heartfelt moment, she revealed that Archie’s milestone is fast approaching, and she hopes to be home in California in time to witness it.
“What we’re going to put out during our next launch is equally as important to me as Archie getting his first [big] tooth this week,” Meghan said. “It’s about to happen, I might get back just in time for it!”
Her comments came mere hours after Kensington Palace released a new photo of Prince Louis, the youngest son of the Prince and Princess of Wales, flashing a joyful, toothless grin for his birthday portrait.
Toothy grins and tender moments define this royal week
The timing wasn’t lost on royal watchers. The side-by-side revelations about Archie‘s first wobbly tooth and Louis’ adorable gappy smile were a striking coincidence.
While the royal cousins are growing up in different worlds, their childhood moments are still managing to capture the public’s attention – especially as fans note how quickly they’re growing up.
Prince Louis‘ birthday portrait, taken by family-favorite photographer Josh Shinner at the Wales’ Norfolk home, Anmer Hall, featured the young prince sitting in a garden filled with blooming bluebells.
Dressed in a green sweater layered over a blue and white checkered shirt, and jeans, Louis looked relaxed and happy, his toothless smile stealing hearts across social media.
The Princess of Wales, who traditionally photographs her children for their birthdays, chose not to take this year’s picture herself.
