Gainesville, MO. – On April 17th, a woman from Gainesville was arrested after a pair of Gainesville Elementary School children were found with bruising consistent with being shot with a BB gun.
The Ozark County Sheriff’s Office and DFS performed the investigation, which included interviews with the children and their mother, Amy Dunn Trout, born 1987. According to testimony from those involved, the children, 5 and 8, had taken a BB gun outside. Trout, having found the BB gun outside after telling the kids not to play with it, then shot them both with the BB gun.
Trout is now facing two charges of Abuse/Neglect of a Child, two charges of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, two charges of 2nd Degree of Domestic Assault, and two charges of Armed Criminal Action.
