
Chesapeake police say two children under the age of five were found outside alone early on Easter Sunday. A parent has been located, and CPS is investigating.
CHESAPEAKE, Va. — The Chesapeake Police Department (CPD) says Child Protective Services is investigating after two children were found outside alone early Sunday.
CPD says around 5 a.m., officers found two children walking along the street near the intersection of Old Atlantic Avenue and Liberty Street.
One child is a girl around 4 years old, and the other is a boy around 2 years old.
Police were searching for their guardians, but updated around 10:30 a.m. that a parent had been located.
CPD stated that criminal charges may be pending.
