Community Food Bank to host Dancing with the Western Slope Stars

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) – The Community Food Bank of Grand Junction announced that it will be hosting the first Dancing with the Western Slope Stars fundraiser.

All funds raised will ensure the Community Food Bank will continue to be able to provide no-cost nutritious food to Grand Valley residents. The event will take place on Saturday, May 3, starting at 6 p.m.

The Dancing with the Western Slope Stars fundraiser features 10 local stars and high-profile individuals from the Mesa County Community. The featured performers include:

  • Darcy Case – Western.Slope.Life Realtor
  • Molly Casey – Miss Grand Junction
  • Juli Jacbson – Grand Junction Lifestyle Host
  • Amy Miller – Fruita City Chamber
  • Christ Reece – Christi Reece Group
  • Cody Kennedy – GJ City Council
  • Todd Rowell – Mesa County Sheriff
  • Doug Simons Senior – President, Enstrom’s Candies Inc
  • Ken Watkins – Executive Director of the Colorado State Fire Chiefs Association, former Grand Junction Fire Chief
  • Tim Wenger – Travel & Conservation Journalist, Husband of CFB Executive Director

Each star has been partnered with professional dance instructors to perform an original piece.

The winner of the Western Slope’s first-ever Mirror Ball trophy will be chosen by community members via online votes.

There are three ways to vote:

  • Vote for your favorite team online for $1 a vote
  • Purchase event tickets and select your favorite team during checkout
  • Purchase a whole table and select your favorite team during checkout

Each purchase is a donation to the Community Food Bank.
