Easter egg hunts, car show among things to do for families in Phoenix area

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Whether you are celebrating Easter or just want to spend time with family and friends, there are plenty of activities to do across the Phoenix area this weekend.

Ahwatukee Easter Parade & Spring Festival | April 19 | 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Gather the family for this parade and festival you won’t want to miss! The parade starts promptly at 10 a.m. on 48th Street, traveling from Warner to Elliot. Get there early for the best parking and driving! The Spring Festival is at Ahwatukee Park, 4700 E Warner Road, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Families can enjoy entertainment, food, crafts and vendors. There will be Easter egg hunts for the kids and bounce houses as well.

Art & Cosplay Expo | April 18-20

Whether you’re a fan of anime, horror, Star Wars, Disney, Marvel, DC or Harry Potter, there’s a little bit of everything for everyone at this convention! Meet artists, voice actors and local cosplayers at the Renaissance Downtown Phoenix. The best part? The event is free! Reserve your ticket now.

Beeping Egg Hunt | April 19 | 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.

The Foundation for Blind Children is hosting its annual Spring Festival and Beeping Egg Hunt. Join visually impaired students and their families for a day of fun, adventure, and friendship. The festival will also have face painting, a bounce house, animals from Pawsitive Friendships, and more for the kiddos to enjoy.

Bunny Photo Experience at the Phoenix Zoo | April 17-20

Visit Wendell the Bunny for a fun, Easter photo at the Phoenix Zoo! Pre-booked photo reservations are highly encouraged as photo spots fill up fast! Zoo admission is not included with photo reservation. General admission tickets can be purchased here.

Bunnanza | April 19 | 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Bunnanza is back at the Scottsdale Civic Center with all the Western fun your heart desires! There will be egg hunts, food trucks, vendors, and live entertainment.

Melrose Vintage Market – Pop-up at The Duce | April 20 | 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Check out some favorite Valley vintage vendors while enjoying brunch and cocktails at The Duce in downtown Phoenix! Shop vintage fashion, jewelry, art and discover vintage media, vinyl, toys and more. The event is free!

Salute to Veterans Car Show | April 19 | 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Celebrate our Valley veterans at this car show in Glendale this weekend! The car show will be Easter-themed, and kids are encouraged to wear bunny ears as they collect candy from vendors. The event is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted to support Soldiers Best Friend, Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals, and WeC.A.R.E.
