Person grazed by bullet near Southeast DC food court, no suspect identified

A person was grazed when a bullet flew through the window of a Southeast, D.C. food court late Thursday evening, with police continuing the search for a suspect.

Officials were called to the 1400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast at around 8:52 p.m., finding a man grazed by a bullet and taken to the hospital.

7News cameras spotted a bullet that struck a window of The Roost DC, with officials on the scene telling 7News it remained open after the incident.

No suspect description was provided.

Police have closed off the 1400 block of Potomac Avenue, SE, between 14th and 15th Streets, and the 700 block of 14th Street, SE, between Potomac Avenue and G Street while an investigation continues.
