On Saturday April 19, The Crossroads Cruisers will be hosting its annual Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show in the parking lot of Parkway Church. Over 130 vehicles will be on display with food, raffle items, and live music.
The Crossroads Cruisers Car Show has been putting on this event since the year 2000. People register their cars from not just the surrounding Crossroads, but also Corpus, San Antonio and New Braunfels.
There will be awards for the top 30 cars in show. These winners will receive custom RTIC cups with the Cruisers’ logo and award designation.
On top of these awards, five cars will receive special recognition for the following categories: Best of Show, Best Interior, Best Paint, Best Engine, and Kids’ Choice. These specialty award winners will get a larger RTIC tumbler.
Registration is on-site only, and no online sales or registration will be offered or required. Entry costs $35 per-vehicle and the show includes members of The Crossroads Cruisers on top of the approximately 110 entries. The first 30 vehicles registered will receive a t-shirt with all 103 of the sponsors and complimentary goodie bags.
Tim Hermes, President of the Crossroads Cruisers and Chairman of the event, said “some of our biggest sponsors are Atzenhoffer Chevrolet, Dale’s Fun Center, and Mac Haik and a hundred more businesses and people” that make this event happen.
The t-shirts printed for the event was paid for in full by these sponsors, allowing participants to get one and sell to those who attend the event.
”We really appreciate the organizations and people who help build this event for the community,” Hermes said.
Brother Gary Moses also works with the Crossroads Cruisers and is an honorary member of the organization.
Hermes said Brother Gary works with them and is a significant help in advertising and running the event.
“This event generates money that goes 100% back to the community,” said Hermes. “The last few years have [generated] about $44,000 [in donations] to 22 local charities and organizations that don’t receive grant money.”
