Propell Credit Union rebrands BHCU Kids’ Foundation to Propell Kids’ Foundation, expanding its mission to support at-risk youth.

Propell Credit Union has officially rebranded the BHCU Kids’ Foundation as the Propell Kids’ Foundation, reflecting the organization’s expanded footprint and growing impact across Chester and Delaware counties.

Founded and managed by Propell Credit Union, the Kids’ Foundation has spent the past six years investing in the region’s most vulnerable residents — its children. To date, the Foundation has raised and invested more than $150,000 to support youth advocacy programs, domestic violence shelters, education equity initiatives, and safe housing efforts for families in crisis.

The Foundation’s mission remains steadfast: to support nonprofit organizations that serve at-risk children and families with resources that create pathways to stability and self-sufficiency.

“Our commitment to being good financial stewards goes beyond our offices,” said Gary Golden, CEO of Propell Credit Union. “The Propell Kids’ Foundation exists because we believe that to be a true community partner, we must contribute to the health and growth of the communities where we live and work.”

In 2024, Propell opened a new financial hub on Five Points Road in West Chester. This expansion was one step in the credit union’s larger effort to build relationships in Chester County. The launch of the Propell Kids’ Foundation marks another.

The Foundation has already made a measurable difference. In partnership with PathWays PA in Media, Propell helped equip a commercial kitchen for mothers and children transitioning out of homelessness. Other initiatives include supporting CASA Youth Advocates, the Domestic Abuse Project of Delaware County, and Teachers’ Teammates, which provides supplies to under-resourced classrooms.

The Foundation’s signature event — the Annual Kids’ Foundation Golf Outing — will be held for the first time in Chester County this fall. The 7th Annual Golf Outing will take place at Kennett Square Country Club in October 2025.

“This event is a cornerstone of our fundraising and community engagement,” Golden said. “We are intentional about expanding our reach, and this outing allows us to connect directly with leaders who want to make a difference.”

Local business owners and community leaders are invited to get involved. Sponsorship opportunities are now available and expected to fill quickly.
