The Vicksburg Warren School District (VWSD), in collaboration with the Battelle for Kids Center for Innovation and Excellence, has announced the launch of its newly developed Strategic Framework, an initiative officials are calling a visionary roadmap designed to guide the district’s direction over the coming years.
“This bold and collaborative plan reflects VWSD’s commitment to fostering student success, advancing equity, and preparing future-ready learners through an inclusive and community-driven process,” VWSD officials said. “Developed with input from students, staff, families, and local stakeholders, the Strategic Framework defines the district’s core values, priorities, and aspirations in alignment with the unique needs of the Vicksburg-Warren County community.”
“Our Strategic Framework is more than just a document — it is a living, breathing commitment to ensuring that every student is prepared for life, college, and career,” VWSD Superintendent Dr. Tori Holloway said. “With the support of Battelle for Kids, we’ve engaged deeply with our community to ensure this vision reflects the heart of who we are and where we’re going.”
VWSD officials will hold the first Strategic Framework meetings Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Vicksburg High School, located at 3701 Drummond St., and Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at Warren Central High School, located at 1000 Highway 27 in Vicksburg.
VWSD officials said these meetings will provide an opportunity for families, business leaders, educators, and community members to learn more about the Strategic Framework, ask questions, and explore how they can be part of shaping the future of education in Vicksburg and Warren County.
The development of the Strategic Framework was supported by VWSD’s partnership with Battelle for Kids, a national not-for-profit organization committed to transforming education systems and developing 21st-century learning communities. Through the VWSD Battelle for Kids Center for Innovation and Excellence, the district has made significant strides in performance-based education, innovation in the classroom, and community engagement, officials said.
