HYDERABAD: Two children allegedly died of suffocation after getting trapped inside a locked car in Chevella on Monday afternoon. The children were identified as Abhinaya Sree (4) and Tanmayi Sree (5), both cousins.
“Both the children came to their grand parents house along with their parents since their uncle was schedule to meet a prospective match. The incident took place around 1.30 pm,” Chevella police told TOI.
“The children were playing outside and the other family members were inside the house. While playing, the kids entered into a car parked in front of their house. As they entered the vehicle, the doors got locked,” the police said.
Almost an hour later, the parents noticed that the children were missing and began looking for them. After searching for them at all possible places, they finally found them lying unconscious inside the car. The family members unlocked the doors and rushed them to a local hospital, where they were declared brought dead.
The family members refused to lodge a police complaint.
