
GENESEE COUNTY, Mich., (WPNM/WGTU) — In response to the declared state of emergency in Northern Michigan, the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan is mobilizing emergency food distributions to provide critical relief to affected communities. These distributions aim to support residents facing hardships due to the emergency conditions.
The Food Bank will conduct emergency distributions at several locations:
- Monday, April 14, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Casimir’s Catholic Church, 10075 M-65, Posen, MI 49776
- Wednesday, April 16, at 10:30 a.m. at Hilman Lions Club at Patchwood Plaza, 14797 State St, Hilman, MI 49746
- Wednesday, April 16, at 3:00 p.m. at Lincoln Pop-Up Pantry, 306 Fiske St, Lincoln, MI 48742
- Friday, April 18, at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Lewiston, 5560 Co Rd 612, Lewiston, MI 49756
- Saturday, April 19, at 10:00 a.m. at Otsego County Food Pantry, 116 E 5th St, Gaylord, MI 49735
“We understand the challenges that families are facing due to the ongoing emergency, and we are committed to ensuring access to nutritious food during this difficult time,” said Kara Ross, CEO and President of the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. “With the support of our community partners, we are working swiftly to provide essential resources to those in need.”
Residents in need of food assistance are encouraged to attend the distribution nearest to them. No pre-registration is required, and food will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
