Finance for Sustainable Development (FSD) is SEI’s research and engagement program dedicated to researching the dynamics of enabling greater investment in sustainable projects, particularly in low- and lower-middle-income countries. The program builds on SEI’s strong track record of working with international climate and development finance. FSD’s mandate is to support the scaling of investment into sustainable economic activities that are essential for achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the climate targets outlined in the Paris Agreement.
Our current portfolio includes research projects on risk mitigation for renewable energy investments in Sub-Saharan Africa, sustainable business model innovation, policy support for international climate finance institutions, blended finance to mobilize private sector investment, and training on public and private sustainable finance.
The intern will work with SEI’s Development Policy and Finance team. Internship responsibilities may include:
- Conducting literature reviews and synthesizing information
- Undertaking ad-hoc research and data-gathering activities
- Supporting event planning and delivery
- Liaising with SEI’s communications team
This is a full-time internship lasting approximately six months (August–December 2025), based at SEI Headquarters in Stockholm.
