TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – A Harvesters food distribution is set for Tuesday morning in central Topeka.
The free distribution is scheduled to take place from around 9 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday — while supplies last — in the east parking lot of the Stormont Vail Events Center, near S.W. 19th Street and Topeka Boulevard.
No identification or proof of eligibility is required. The last name of the recipient, along with the person’s, zip code and the number of people in the family, is the only information collected.
This event is sponsored by Topeka Turnaround Inc. in cooperation with Topeka Bible Church.
Organizers said the aim of the distribution is to for provide food assistance for people in need.
Those wishing to receive food items are encouraged to arrive as early as possible to get in line.
The event ends when all the food is distributed.
