El Paso families are keeping the magic alive by bringing their children for Easter Bunny photos at The Shoppes at Solana.
Families came to meet the Easter Bunny. Kids happily ran up to high-five the bunny while their parents snapped free photos with their cellphones. An employee was also available to take family photos for them.
Jessica Mejia brought her two kids, Isabella and Dominic Spignardo, for the first time to meet the Easter Bunny for the start of a new tradition for her family. “Before no, this is actually my first time doing it,” she said, “They wanted to, and I like it, it’s a new chapter.”
The Easter Bunny waved to mall shoppers, kids and families as they passed by or rode up and down the escalator.
Teresa Orozco and Julio Ornelas are keeping the tradition alive with their daughter, Sally Ornelas.
“We used to go when we were kids, so I want to bring my daughter too,” said Orozco, adding that she felt happy and nostalgic, remembering how her mother would take her to the mall and San Jacinto Plaza, where they used to have a setup with the Easter Bunny.
“It’s a great experience. There’s nothing like it. Seeing a child smile and laugh and it brings so much joy to the community,” said Julio Ornelas, who was also taken to the mall to take photos with the Easter Bunny as a child.
