
PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Warm spring weather is luring Arizonans outdoors with a slate of festivals and markets across the Valley. For the month of April, the Taste of Arizona team rounded out some of the best foodie destinations.
“Books and Brunch” launches on April 12. The Arizona Center in downtown Phoenix The monthly market, held every second Saturday, features books, food, and local vendors. April 12-13 is also the final weekend of the Maricopa County Fair.
On April 19, the Metro Phoenix Night Market brings food and retail stalls to the AZ International Marketplace Plaza parking lot near Broadway and Dobson roads in Mesa.
That same day, “Food Fest West” hits Mark Coronado Park in Surprise. The event offers food trucks, vendors, axe throwing, a kids’ zone, and a bar. Tickets cost $5 at the gate.
In Glendale, Tortoise and Hare Sports hosts the “Pizza and Pint Run” on April 24. Runners can tackle a one-mile or three-mile course, followed by pizza and beer.
The Great Food Expo closes the month at the Phoenix Convention Center on April 26-27. Celebrity chefs, tastings, and food trends headline the event.
