AUSTIN, Texas — Idea Lab Kids is sparking curiosity and creativity with its hands-on summer camp, where young campers can dive into the world of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM)– plus some art!
Adam Gockley, the owner of Idea Lab Kids, shared what campers can expect from the experience from science experiments to Lego robotics kits, 3-D printing and coding. Idea Lab Kids is also licensed as a daycare giving parents peace of mind.
“We’re all finger-printed, background checked, and we’ve gone through a pre-service training in addition to the training that Idea Labs staff goes through,” Gockley said. Many of the summer camp staff are Univerity of Texas students with a STEM or education background or teachers who are off for summer. They also have year-round staff that facilitate after school programs, home school programs and birthday parties on the weekends.
Gockley brought along an jaw-dropping demonstration to showcase the type of activities campers will enjoy. Watch the video to see for yourself!
