The food at The Masters is also, as they say, a tradition unlike any other, with the prices for favorites like Pimento cheese sandwiches and the Georgia Peach ice cream sandwich staying impervious to inflation.
But there’s a new challenger approaching: say hello to the tomato pie!
We don’t have too many details here, but it looks like a handheld savory Southern delicacy, empanada-ish and it’s probably filled with tomatoes (obviously), maybe some cheese and perhaps some onions or some kind of spicy bulb.
Whatever, we’re buying one if we ever get to go, simply because it won’t be cheap and tomatoes plus cheese plus crust equals something akin to a pizza. And pizza is good.
