Sometimes there just isn’t enough time in a movie or TV show to get into a character’s backstory, and by the looks of some of these insane origin stories, that’s probably a good thing. You wouldn’t want Casper the Friendly Ghost to stop and tell Christina Ricci’s character that failing to make friends once made him attempt suicide (multiple times).
Naw, it was probably best to have him lock it up and focus more on a lovely ending with him as Devon Sawa.
