MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCIV) — Spring has finally arrived in the Holy City and with desirable weather incoming, families are beginning to form Easter and vacation plans. Charleston Area Safe Kids and State Farm are joining forces to host a Good Neighbor Car Seat Safety Check Up event, to ensure that even the most venerable are traveling safely on the road.
According to Safe Kids Worldwide, preventable injuries are the number one killer of kids in the US, with motor vehicle crashes serving as leading cause of death for children ages 1 to 12.
To help combat this statistic, Charleston Area Safe Kids and State Farm are hosting the event as part of a national initiative dedicated to improving access to Child Passenger Safety resources.
