MIFFLINTOWN — Juniata had their baseball game with Lewisburg called due to darkness, making it a 13-13 tie with the Green Dragons on Monday evening.
Juniata pitcher Carson Kepner earned his 150th career strikeout as he tossed four and a third innings. Kepner allowed just two hits, three earned runs and struck out six Dragons. He did walk seven batters.
Juniata trailed 4-3 entering the bottom of the fourth frame, but scored five times. From there, Lewisburg would drop eight runs in the sixth and seventh frames combined. The Indians answered with five runs of their own in that span.
For Juniata, Daylyn Kennedy had two hits with two runs. Kepner corralled three runs and two knocks. Bryce Harlon had five RBIs and two hits. Caleb Auker added two hits with an RBI. Cam Bargo chalked up three walks and Drew Geedey had two ribbies with two hits.
Both teams posted 11 hits. Lewisburg committed three errors and Juniata had two miscues.
Huskies down Rams, 3-0
HARRISBURG — Mifflin County baseball topped Central Dauphin Monday, 3-0.
Aidan Attivo tossed seven scoreless innings, allowed one hit, no runs and struck out five Rams.
Reese Christine posted two RBIs for the Huskies in their season opener and Jayden Smith tacked on another ribbie. Logan Alexander stole a base for the victors.
The Huskies tallied six hits in the ballgame. Each team had one error.
For the Rams, starting pitcher Adam Reeser went four innings, allowed five hits, three runs and struck out three Huskies. In relief, Nick Tirado pitched three shutout frames, gave up one hit and struck out three.
Next, the Huskies travel to Altoona on April 1 with first pitch at 4:15 p.m.

Huskies drop Trojans, 3-2
CHAMBERSBURG — Mifflin County tennis dodged Chambersburg, 3-2, on Monday.
Husky Landon Mazur beat Luke Detweiler, 6-2, 7-6. Logan Breneman also won in singles play, 6-1, 6-3 over Micah Detweiler, 6-1, 6-3.
Brice Rishel and Kamden Everly defeated Trojans Eli Keeler and Nate Weis, 6-0, 6-0.
