UWS awarded Jerome Kruse All-Sport trophy for fourth straight year

Superior, Wis. (Northern News Now) – For the fourth consecutive year, the University of Wisconsin Superior has earned the conference’s most prestigious honor.

They are once again recipients of the Jerome Kruse All-Sport Trophy.

This is an award that highlights the top athletic program in the UMAC and is named after a former athletic director, Jerome Kruse who worked at two UMAC Universities.

The Yellowjackets took the top spot with a total of 71.5 points after the fall and winter seasons and added championships in both women’s basketball and men’s indoor track and field for a league, leading six titles.

This award has been handed out since the 1997-98 season.
