PHOTOS: Reds reveal new line-up of food, merchandise ahead of Opening Day

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Cincinnati Reds Opening Day is Thursday, and with a new season underway also calls for some menu upgrades.

On Friday, the media was invited to try some of the new foods offered and to check out the new Reds merchandise sold at Great American Ball Park.

What’s new on the menu?

Executive Chef Gary Davis is the brains behind Great American Ball Park’s newly curated dishes. Here’s what’s new on the menu this year:

  • Redlegs BBQ Walking Taco: Grippo’s and Montgomery Inn collaborate with a new take on the traditional walking taco. A Saratoga-style chip topped with pulled pork, BBQ sauce and coleslaw.
    • Find it near sections 117, 133, 416 and 425.
  • 50 West Soft Pretzel Double Cheeseburger: Bringing Cincinnati back to its German roots with a German-like double cheeseburger. A double smash burger with American cheese, Funacho cheese and house mustard on a pretzel bun, served with a side of crinkle-cut fries.
    • Offered until April 30 at the 50 West Stand.
  • Wings & Rings Traditional Chicken Wings: Chicken wings smothered in your choice of garlic medium or honey barbecue sauce. Ranch and bleu cheese available upon request.
    • Find them at the Food Hub near Section 112.
  • Big Mozz Chicken Parm Sandwich: It’s like pizza on a hoagie roll. Crispy chicken tenders, Big Mozz sticks topped with provolone cheese, marinara sauce and banana peppers on a hoagie bun. Served with kettle chips.
    • Find it at the Scouts Club.
  • The Reds Islander Griller: Hempler’s sausage, pineapple salsa and Kogi sweet garlic BBQ sauce, served on a hoagie roll.
    • Find it at the Food Bar near Section 109.
  • Glier’s Goetta Reuben Sliders: Glier’s Goetta patty, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and thousand island dressing served on slider buns.
    • Find them at the Food Bar near sections 129 and 416.
  • Reds Double Decker Glier’s Goetta Sluggers: If you cannot get enough goetta, Glier’s has you covered. Glier’s Goetta patty, a split Glier’s brat, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and thousand island dressing, served on slider buns.
    • Find it at the Food Bar near sections 129 and 416.
  • Street Tacos: Four new Spanish-style dishes coming to Great American Ball Park that can be found in Section 128 and Scouts Club.
    • The Cincy Sizzle: Brisket, pickled red onions, cilantro and salsa verde.
    • Carne Asada Street Tacos: Steak, salsa roja, pickled red onions, cotija cheese and cilantro.
    • Chicken Adobo Street Tacos: Chicken, chili verde, white onions and cilantro.
    • Street Nachos: Your choice of chicken or steak with queso, pickled red onions, salsa verde, cotija cheese and cilantro.
  • Baby Ruth Ice Cream Toppings: Traditional ice cream at Great American Ball Park just got a whole lot sweeter. Now, the Reds are offering Baby Ruth pieces as a new topping.
    • Available at Scouts Club and Rosie’s Ice Cream Stands.

In addition to all of the new menu items, the Reds are offering new merchandise too, including decorated hats and new style tees, hoodies and polos.
