10 new foods at Texas Rangers baseball games include a lobster roll — and it’s not $250

The Texas Rangers’ 2025 roster of new concessions items takes baseball fans across the country, from land to sea. There’s an enormous Tex-Mex-inspired burrito that transports us down to the border, Cajun nachos that run us over to Louisiana, a triple play of lobster dishes that fly us to the northeast and Dr Pepper glazed bacon that brings us right back home to Texas.

The Rangers’ concessions company Delaware North featured large-and-in-charge concessions for years, but the 2025 lineup feels a little more focused. Less sparkle, more substance.

The 2025 Boomstick? A burrito

More than a decade ago, the Rangers concessions team unveiled the Boomstick, a 24-inch loaded hot dog that was nearly as long as the baseball bat that gave it its name. It came with its own carrying case and has continued to be popular enough that it remains on the ballpark menu today. There’s a dedicated area of the ballpark, the Texas 24″ stand in Section 132, where fans can find the big stuff.

How 2-foot-long hot dogs and other oversized gut-busters became Texas Rangers traditions

Delaware North, the Rangers’ hospitality and retail partner, is still proud of the 24-inch thing, but in recent years, they’ve focused less on being so big and bold.

Enter the Boomstick Burrito, $35.99. It’s a 26-inch-wide tortilla filled with rice, beans, taco meat, squeezy nacho cheese, pico de gallo, lettuce and sour cream. The tortilla is so big, it’s made special for the ballpark, said Casey Rapp, general manager at Delaware North.

Available at the Texas 24″ stand at Section 132. $35.99.

Baseball fans in landlocked North Texas might not be expecting lobster to make a big appearance on the Rangers’ roster. But Rapp was. He leads the team that dreams up the Rangers’ new food items, and he was behind the headline-making $250 lobster roll sold at the World Series in 2023.

Rapp loves lobster. Which is why clawed its way into Globe Life Field in three versions for the 2025 season.

All three new lobster dishes are made with a lobster blend — lobster and imitation crab. That helps keep cost down, meaning the former $250 lobster roll is now smaller in size and much smaller in price: $13.99.

All three available at Section 106.

  • Lobster roll: Pick your city or state: The Boston-style lobster roll is served warm, with garlic herb butter. The Maine-style lobster roll comes cold, with mayo, lemon, celery and Old Bay seasoning. Both are presented on a brioche bun. $13.99.
  • Lobster mac: Cavatappi macaroni is tossed in three-cheese sauce and served with crispy panko breadcrumbs and lobster sauteed in garlic herb butter. $19.99.
  • Lobster nachos: Tostitos tortilla chips are layered with with white cheddar sauce, shredded Gruyère cheese and lobster. $19.99.

Hurtado Barbecue, the Arlington-born restaurant that has served some of the Rangers’ best baseball food in its history, according to Rangers Insider Evan Grant, is back in 2025 with two new smoked options.

Notably, Hurtado’s beloved birria tacos and beef rib will not be available this baseball season. The birria quesadilla will be back in 2025 at Hurtado.

Both available at the Hurtado stand at Section 141.

  • Big Papa Potato: Hurtado’s shredded brisket is served inside a baked potato layered with butter, cheddar cheese and Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce. $14.99.
  • Smoked wings: Four chicken wings are smoked and served with al pastor sauce and chips and salsa. $18.99.

Thai food, times 2

The Rangers’ concession team forged a new relationship with Blue Mint Thai, a restaurant in Mansfield that’s expanding to Midlothian. Their presence inside Globe Life Field is similar to the licensing agreement the ballpark has with Golden Chick, Pluckers, Hurtado Barbecue and Whataburger, Rapp said.

  • Crazy Drunken Noodles: Stir-fried flat rice noodles are mixed with Thai spicy chili sauce, egg, onions, carrots, bell peppers, tomatoes, basil and the choice of a protein. $17.99 plain and 19.99 with chicken.
  • Golden Pouches: Like crab rangoon, these fried wontons are stuffed with cream cheese, onions and imitation crab. Sweet chili sauce comes on the side. $8.99 for four or 4.99 for two.

Gumbo nachos

The iconic baseball snack, nachos, gets a Louisiana twist. The Rangers’ Cajun nachos start with Tostitos tortilla chips that are laced with white queso and topped with chicken and sausage gumbo.
