HARRISON COUNTY, Mo. (KCTV) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol was on the scene of a crash that injured two young boys Sunday night.
The crash happened late on March 23, around 11:30 p.m., ten miles northeast of Bethany.
MSHP reported that a 19-year-old was driving east on Route Y with two passengers, a 12 and a 13-year-old. As they approached a curve in the road, the driver could not navigate it and went off the north side of the road.
His 2003 Cadillac CTS crossed 295th Street and was temporarily airborne before dropping down a steep embankment. The car hit several trees before coming to a stop.
None of the occupants were wearing seatbelts, MSHP said. The driver was not injured, but his two passengers had serious injuries and were airlifted to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.
The Cadillac was totaled in the crash and towed from the scene.
