SAN ANTONIO – Looking for something fun and delicious to do this weekend?
On Sunday, from noon to 4 p.m., the 15th Annual Paella Challenge is offering guests at Mission County Park the chance to enjoy over 40 different varieties of Paella, as well as plenty of drinks, appetizers, and live music!
Chefs from across San Antonio, Mexico, and the United States will be dishing out beautiful dishes in a head-to-head competition to create the best paella.
Proceeds from the event are going to support the Kitchen Campus culinary youth program, allowing schools to offer culinary programs to high school students, and providing them a path to success in the food industry.
The event is also serving as a celebration of the Culinary Institute of America, with the world-class campus in San Antonio being one of only three in the country.
“The Paella Challenge is another way to celebrate the CIA’s planting its flag here in our city, bringing culinary excellence to our community,” says Chef Johnny, an alumnus of the Culinary Institute of America.
Tickets for the event start at $50 per person for non-drink inclusive tickets. VIP packages and standard alcohol-inclusive tickets are available.
