Pensacola car show drives support for Alzheimer’s awareness and Gulf Coast Kids House

PENSACOLA, Fla. — The parking lot at marcus pointe baptist church was full of cars showing off the last century of automotive history.

You could see everything from a model tee to a modern ATV.

Axels for Alzheimer’s are all for a good cause.

The annual car show benefits the Alzheimers Association and Gulf Coast Kids House.

“As former caregivers this is something that’s very dear to our hearts, we’ve already lost family members to this,” a caregiver said. Our family is still being affected by it now and we hardly know anybody that hasn’t been affected by it.”

So we feel it’s something that really needs attention and we’re going to continue as long as we can to support it.

The disease affects more than 51 people worldwide.

Florida ranks second in the nation for the most diagnosed cases of Alzheimers at 580 thousand.,
