The National Police Association sponsored car at Five Flags Speedway will have a Pensacola connection this weekend.
With the ARCA racing on Saturday as part of a tripleheader that also features the ASA STARS and Outlaws, the NPA’s sponsored car, driven by Rita Goulet with Rise Motorsports, has a picture of a missing 17-year-old from Pensacola. Caleb Nathaniel Cook, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, has been missing since Dec. 7.
It’s reported that he still may be in the area, or could have traveled somewhere in Alabama. The NPA, in a press release, called it a “collaborative effort to raise national awareness about Caleb’s disappearance.”
“The National Police Association is committed to supporting the search for missing children across the country,” said Goulet, who’s a police officer for the Gastonia Police Department in North Carolina. “By featuring Caleb’s image on our race car, we hope to reach a large audience and generate vital leads that could assist in finding him.”
Anyone with information regarding Caleb’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office at 1-850-436-9620 or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST.
Saturday’s ARCA Menards Series East race on Saturday is expected to have 23 cars. The race, known as the Pensacola 150, is slated to start at 7:35 p.m. at Five Flags. That’s followed by the ASA Stars National Tour Sunshine State 200 on Sunday afternoon.
