
LUBBOCK, Texas (NEWS RELEASE) – Texas Tech University’s President’s Leadership Institute (PLI) is stepping up to support Red Raiders in need with a special food drive during the upcoming Texas Tech vs. TCU baseball series at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park.
Inspired by spirit of service fostered during the university’s Centennial, PLI participants are collecting essential food and hygiene items for Raider Red’s Pantry and Fostering the Future—two programs providing critical support to students facing food insecurity and other hardships.
Donation Collection Dates During Texas Tech vs. TCU series:
- Friday, March 21 – 6:30 PM
- Saturday, March 22 – 2:00 PM
- Sunday, March 23 – 1:00 PM
What to Donate:
✔️ For Fostering the Future: Mac & cheese, sandwich crackers, Pop-Tarts
✔️ For Raider Red’s Pantry: Canned pasta, spaghetti sauce, canned soup, 1lb bags of rice or beans
A Thank-You Gift:
Fans who donate any listed item will receive a free keychain (while supplies last) as a token of appreciation.
Why It Matters:
- Raider Red’s Pantry offers non-perishable food and hygiene products to students experiencing hardship.
- Fostering the Future supports Red Raiders with lived experience in foster care or adoption, providing resources to help them succeed.
