Newcastle news: Magpies announce Carabao Cup celebration plans

Newcastle United have announced plans to celebrate their Carabao Cup win with supporters at an open-air event.

The free-to-attend celebration will take place on Saturday, 29 March and will be set around a large main stage on the Town Moor, adjacent to the Great North Road.

Fans will see manager Eddie Howe and the first-team players with the cup for the first time since the Wembley victory that secured their first domestic trophy for 70 years.

The club says the event will feature a DJ, live band, highlights of their run to Wembley, a screening of the full cup final and special guests, before the team lift the Carabao Cup on stage.
