New food truck, Demented Dessert & Coffee soft opens with breakfast treats

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Shreveport-Bossier now has its own special breakfast and donut food truck.

On March 19, at the home of an artist in south Shreveport, a new food truck, Demented Dessert & Coffee was born. The soft opening consisted of a network of artists, influencers, podcasters, and business owners, who all praised the taste treats by Jennifer Cochrane and her husband, Mike Cochrane.

What was on the menu?

Treats included Glazed donut burgers, tasty breakfast sandwiches, chicken and waffles, a brat in a twist donut, pulled pork donut sandwiches, Sub with mushroom or vegan hot dogs, and more.

Alongside the main dishes, the food truck offered fries, hashbrowns, pasta salads, mini blooming onions, coleslaw.

Ice coffee and hot coffee were offered with extra flavor choices and whipped creme.

Everyone at the event was also given free donuts from a selection of strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate.

Some of the food glowed from special glazes and VERY HOT sauces that were made with the assistance of artist Chang Lui of Blanket Fort Creations, who is known for her glowing creations.

The Demented Dessert & Coffee will make an appearance at the upcoming Bossier Makers Fair, located at the Louisiana Boardwalk on March 22, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
