With the help of the Sac County Sheriff’s Office, the Sac County Road Department, and the driver of an East County school bus, the kids were rescued and brought safely to Sac City, Iowa.

The kids were given a place to stay at the Sac Community Center. The Sac City Street Department helped clear the parking lot and roads leading to the community center.

Sac County Health provided additional cots and blankets, according to the city. Sac City police officers provided the group with food, communications, and support.

Offers and local organizations provided the group with food, beverages, and additional snacks.
