Habersham County Sheriff’s Office plans a Car Show for a Cause

Ready to spend time enjoying warm weather and a car show for a great cause? The inaugural Habersham County Sheriff’s Office Shop with a Hero Car & Bike Show fundraiser is set for Saturday, April 5, at the fairgrounds near Clarkesville.

The event will raise money to help provide a Christmas shopping experience for youth in our community who might not otherwise receive gifts.

The benefit car and bike show is open to all vehicles, including imports, muscle cars, classics and antiques, rat rods, trucks, vans, project vehicles, specialty vehicles, race cars, tractors, golf carts, motorcycles, bicycles – essentially anything with wheels.

Entry fee is $25 per vehicle.

Spectator admission to the car show is by donation.

“We are asking folks who attend to make a donation or to donate a new stuffed animal for entry to the show,” said Lt. Aaron Autry of the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office Community Relations Division. “We don’t want anyone to feel like they can’t attend, but we ask everyone who is able to give what they can, remembering it’s going to help the children and youth of Habersham County this Christmas season.”

The show will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at the Habersham County Fairgrounds, 4235 Toccoa Highway, Clarkesville.

The funds raised through the Shop with a Hero Car & Bike Show, and through donations and other fundraisers, will determine how many young people can be served through this year’s Shop with a Hero and to what extent.
