Car club ready to Show & Shine in downtown Bakersfield

Despite its name, the annual Show & Shine car show has faced its fair share of cloudy weather.

“Last year it rained the day before (the show),” said Harvey Reyes, president of the Carnales Unidos car club, which organizes the event. “That Saturday, it was beautiful. Then when it was time for the awards, it came down pouring.”
