Car Show Video: The Hot Rod Showdown 2025 · Wimberly, TEXAS!! It Was Cold, But The Cars Were Hot

On Lone Star Throwdown weekend, while I was freezing my cajones off in Conroe Texas, there was a group of folks hanging out in the awesome little town of Wimberley just a few hours east. This show is mostly traditional hot rods and customs and has an old school feel to it. It is held at the 7A Ranch, which is awesome in its own right. Combine that with the great little town, full of shops, restaurants, and bars, and you’ve got the recipe for a great show. That’s why it is always a popular destination, and even the cold temps couldn’t keep folks away from the Saturday morning festivities.

I’m new to this show but not the area, but this killer little show starts off in Wimberly, TX on Friday with 130 mile reliability Run, then the car show on Saturday! Great venue at the 7A Ranch was like a mini Tombstone movie set!

The guys that put this show on Roger, Rudy and William do a bang up job with Shaun Hubbard as the graphic designer that puts all the artwork together!! Great time, was a little rainy and cold but we had a blast! We’ll be back!!
