New Charmy’s Market expands food options to include international cuisine

Charmy’s Market, formerly The Hills Market, expanded its food options following new ownership.

At the start of the month, couple Sharareh “Sherry” and Rezi Bayegan took over operations at The Hills Market at 95 N. Grant Ave. after the store’s team announced the transfer of ownership in December to focus on its Worthington location at 7860 Olentangy River Road.

The Hills Market sign outside of the store has since been removed.

Despite this change, Sherry Bayegan said they will retain most the same staff and locally sourced products. The couple said they only plan to make a few cosmetic changes to the store to include in-house seating and expand its food options to include more Mediterranean, Chinese, Amish, Persian and international options to cater to a wider range of customers.

“Actually, it’s going to stay the same as it has been. We’re just going to add more international items because we believe it’s missing those things,” Bayegan said.

The Bayegans ran Charmy’s Persian Taste inside the store for six years, which pays homage to their first restaurant, Charmy’s, in Tehran, Iran, where they immigrated from to escape persecution.

Now an established taste, the Bayegans will continue to prepare food for the hot bar, salad bar and grab-and-go section. Additional staff has been added to the Charmy’s Persian Taste restaurant.

“Every food being made at The Hills Market the last three to four years was made by us,” Bayegan said. “We will be doing the same things because we’ve already been doing it for Hills.”

Charmy’s Market will host an official grand opening April 12. The store along with Charmy’s Persian Taste will remain operating under normal hours in the meantime.

• Mondays through Fridays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. 
• Sundays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
