It’s part of the Intuit food truck program, a work-based learning program that helps student develop skills to run a business. The program helps students learn technical, financial and entrepreneurial skills.
The food truck has a commercial grade kitchen that will also serve as a learning guide for the students in McGavock’s Academy of Hospitality and Finance.
In addition, students in other academic programs like graphic design, marketing, and automotive maintenance will also work on the project.
McGavock High School is the only school in Tennessee to launch an Intuit food truck and 8th distract in the nation.
