‘Wicked’ Actor Cynthia Erivo Makes Post-Oscars Fast-Food Pit Stop

Dining after the Oscars is a Los Angeles tradition. The Academy Awards is Hollywood’s biggest night, but attendees regularly make a point to stop for a filler meal after sitting during the ceremony for more than three hours (and that’s only the length of time it took Adrien Brody to finish his speech for Best Actor). In 2025, Wicked actor and Oscar nominee Cynthia Erivo, who brought down the house with a show-opening performance earlier in the evening, arrived at Raising Cane’s — who she seems to have partnered with for the moment — to consume what appears to be a tray full of fries and Texas toast.

Wake and Late enters the sandwich game

Wake and Late, Southern California’s dominating breakfast burrito maker, will start serving lunch sandwiches and chips at its Pasadena outpost on Friday, March 7. The spot’s been teasing the sandwich menu, which will use organic ingredients, on Instagram — think things like a braised, grass-fed short rib sandwich served with giardiniera, au jus, and house mayonnaise on a mini baguette.
