Divers Participate In NCAA Regional

GRANVILLE, Ohio–Nine Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) divers participated in the NCAA Division III Central Diving Regional at Trumbill Aquatics Center on the campus of Denison University (Ohio) Feb. 28 – March 1.
 
The conference was represented by the following men: UW-Eau Claire’s Blake Wallen; UW-La Crosse’s Tony McNiff; and UW-Stevens Point’s James Stadler and Declan Trant.
 
Trant was third in the three-meter competition with a score of 462.25, while Wallen was fourth with 450.35, McNiff 11th with 397.80 and Stadler 17th with 339.00. Nick Fogle of Denison won the event with 515.55.
 
On the one-meter board, Trant placed third with 451.35, Wallen fourth with 442.60, Stadler 14th with 378.00 and McNiff 15th with 375.95.  Fogle finished first in the event with 475.80.
 
WIAC representatives for the women included: UW-Eau Claire’s Isabella Josephs; and UW-La Crosse’s Joanne Banaszak, Madison Debernado, Hannah Martini and Madeline Weber.
 
In the one-meter competition, Martini finished 11th with 393.00, Banaszak 14th with 382.75, Weber 16th with 364.75, Josephs 27th with 330.10 and Debernado 30th with 321.85. Abigail Wilkov of Case Western Reserve University (Ohio) won the event with 453.15.
 
In the three-meter event, Weber was 13th with 388.70, Banaszak 14th with 385.95, Martini 15th with 381.35, Debernado 23rd with 344.00 and Josephs 25th with 342.00.
